If there is one single , defining and overarching lesson everyone in the whole world can draw from the Covid-19 Pandemic, it is this : you aren’t very good at what you’re supposed to be able to do.
I mean that equally , and it is equally true, to every reasonably functional adult person on Earth. Literally everyone fucked it up. You, Me, Survivors, casualties, patients, caregivers, Bad Guys, Good Guys, (Perpetrators? Victims ?) , “All-In Players” and totally fucking oblivious bystanders alike. This whole fiasco has not played out the way anybody expected, and extremely few wanted. So congratulations to each and every one of you for surviving up to this point because (judging from our demonstrable skill level) it truly is a wonder how we have managed to get this far.
Now go home and practice, because based on performance you could really really use it. I don’t know about you, but I intend to do a hell of a lot better next time.
